Solid Waste (Garbage) Collection Update

Dear Englishtown Residents:

This is an important update to your garbage collection.  Your garbage collection service for 2022 will remain the same:

• Regular Household Waste: Pick up Tuesdays and Fridays

• Bulk Item: 1 bulk item pick-up on Fridays

• Recyclables: Pick-up on 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of each month

On April 1, 2022, the Borough of Englishtown created a Solid Waste Utility due to an unforeseen, 180% increase in solid waste collection fees.  This increase was not isolated to Englishtown – this increase affected municipalities across the state of New Jersey.

Furthermore, this increase exceeded our state-mandated 2% budget cap and the Borough Council chose to create the solid waste utility.  This utility will let us provide the same level of garbage collection service you had received through your municipal taxes.

However, you will now receive a separate invoice on or about July 1^st from the Solid Waste Utility in the amount of $270.00 for the months April 1 through December 31, 2022.
